St Michael & All Angels Church in St David's -- the church with the tallest spire in Exeter, home to peregrine falcons -- is hosting An Unusually Good Book Sale on Saturday 26th November from 11am to 3pm in aid of the St David's Neighbourhood fund and the St Michael's Redecoration Fund. Tedburn St Mary Community Choir return to Exeter Northcott Theatre after their sell out show in July 2015. This time they are hosting a Celebration of A Cappella including performances by Tedburn KIDZ (Key Stage 2 and 3 children from local schools), Orchard Harmony (a female a cappella group from Whimple) and featuring Semi-Toned (Exeter University’s very own award winning male a cappella group). With music ranging from current pop music to musical theatre and well known classics this is an evening not to be missed.
This is a fund raising concert for Rowcroft Hospice.
The Nigel Price Organ Trio – winner of the 2010 Parliamentary Jazz Awards for best jazz ensemble – is led by one of Britain’s finest guitarists.
Currently in the middle of a 56 date tour of the UK, Nigel Price is a regular performer at Ronnie Scott’s where he has racked up over 400 performances and spent three years with the James Taylor Quartet. His blend of flowing, fiery bebop lines, deep blues feeling and ability to swing hard has made him a big hit with jazz fans.
