Exeter Chiefs side to face Saracens

Ricky Pellow believes victory for Exeter Chiefs in this weekend’s LV= Cup Final would eclipse the efforts of last season when the Devon club lifted the trophy for the first time.

Twelve months ago the Chiefs made the most of home territory and a bumper Sandy Park following to overcome rivals Northampton Saints 15-8.

On Sunday, the defending champions will take to the field at Franklin’s Gardens (3pm) looking not only to overcome fellow finalists Saracens, but at the same time become the first-ever club to win the Anglo-Welsh crown back-to-back.

It’s another tall...

Thomas 'The Tank' Waldrom insists it's 'full steam ahead' for everyone at Exeter Chiefs as they target a strong finish to the 20-14/15 season.

Last Saturday's record-breaking 74-19 home win over London Welsh not only ensured the Devon club finished their latest batch of Aviva Premiership fixtures lying second in the standings, but ensured them of the perfect round having already seen off Newcastle Falcons, Harlequins and Bath in as many weeks.

Chiefs' destiny in their own hands

Phil Dollman believes Exeter Chiefs have their seasonal destiny firmly in their own hands as they look to attack on three different fronts between now and the end of the campaign.

After four successive Aviva Premiership victories - the latest being a record-breaking 74-19 success over winless London Welsh - the Chiefs are not only sitting second in the league standings, but are nicely placed to also attack the latter stages of both the European Challenge and LV= Cups.

It was around this time a year ago that Rob Baxter's side collected their first-ever piece of major...

Exeter Chiefs fly half Henry Slade is included in the England squad preparing to face Scotland in the RBS 6 Nations clash on Saturday after Brad Barritt was ruled out of the reminder of the tournament.

The Devon-born 21 year-old, who has featured impressively at inside and outside centre for his club this term, replaces unlucky Barritt after the Saracens centre who suffered an ankle sprain against Wasps on Sunday.

With Sunday's Leicester Tigers vs Newcastle Falcons match also affecting the availability of players to train, Bath Rugby hooker Rob Webber comes in for Tom...
