A Christmas party for children organised by Exeter charity Dream-A-Way was given a festive boost thanks to the local Tesco Extra store. At around 4pm on Saturday 17 December 2016, police were informed that a collision had taken place involving a tractor that was towing a single axle agricultural trailer close to Harts Farm, Hemyock, close to the Devon, Somerset border (Cullompton area).
A number of passengers were riding on the trailer when one of them fell off and went under the trailer and was run over by one of the trailer’s wheels.
The casualty, a man aged 64 who lives in a nearby village suffered severe abdominal injuries and was airlifted to Derriford hospital in Plymouth.

The appeal was issued by Exeter blogger Rachaele Hambleton whose regular Facebook posts under the name ‘Part-Time Working Mummy’ have earned her more than 230,000 followers.

The Post Office is reassuring customers in the Exeter area that despite the Communication Union’s call for strike action on Monday 19 December, Tuesday 20 December and Saturday 24 December at three Post Office branches, services will not be impacted at other branches in the area.
