The annual Outstanding Care Awards for Devon and Cornwall will honour outstanding individuals, providers and suppliers from across the care industry, including care homes, community care, voluntary organisations, emergency services and more.

The initiative, backed by organisations including Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust, Devon County Council, Torbay Council and Proud to Care Devon, saw hundreds of entries when started in 2018 by the Devon-based Care Network Group.

A free event offering youngsters with Down’s syndrome the chance to try out a variety of sports is taking place in Devon in March… and it’s looking for participants.

The Multi-Sports Festival will be held at Blundell’s School in Tiverton on Monday 4th March and participants of all ages and abilities are invited to take part.

Owen Boylan from the Hendy Car Store in Exeter has picked up a key award at the recent Hendy Sales Awards which honour the group’s leading employees.

Owen was named Car and Van Store sales executive of the year for his work at the annual awards which were hosted by TV comedian Rob Beckett

The group has 57 franchise outlets across 30 locations and employs more than 1,100 people in Devon, Hampshire, Sussex, Surrey and Kent.

Krispies Fish & Chips from Exmouth, Devon are frying high today as they celebrate netting the enviable title of the UK’s best fish and chip shop at the National Fish & Chip Awards 2019, organised by Seafish.

Devon teenagers hear incredible tales of courage from Holocaust survivor

Hundreds of Devon teenagers and students witnessed the incredible courage of concentration camp survivor Mala Tribich during an event organised to mark Holocaust Memorial Day.

Historians and other experts took part in the now annual conference, held at the University of Exeter and organised for the third time by final year history student Barnabas Balint.
