Comparative data published by the Centre for Cities reveals Exeter as a city of contrasts. It’s a fast-growing city both in terms of population and in housing stock. In fact, a growth table of 63 urban areas places the city third in the UK.

Parents in South West are being offered an online ‘sports day at home’ pack thanks to a leading housebuilder’s partnership with Team GB.

With the current Covid-19 crisis still unfolding, many parents have had to get used to home schooling amid the uncertainty of when their children will return to school.

Now Persimmon Homes South West, thanks to its ongoing partnership with The British Olympic Association, is offering parents the chance to download special sports packs for free and start planning their own sports day at home.

Measures to support cyclists social distancing in place

New temporary traffic calming measures to support social distancing and provide a safer environment to encourage walking and cycling in Exeter are now in place. The changes are the first set of traffic calming measures along the E3 cycle route linking Heavitree and Whipton to the City Centre. The route also passes close to four primary schools, a secondary school as well as local parks.

Groove pop band Heir have followed in the footsteps of their music heroes – all the way to Abbey Road!

Hodge seals move to the Chiefs

David Miliband, president of the International Rescue Committee, is headlining an online panel discussion that is examining the impacts of COVID-19 on developing countries. BBC Chief International Correspondent Lyse Doucet is hosting the event on 2 July, that also features Waad al-Kateab, Dr Hamza al-Kateab, and Dr Weeda Mehran of the University of Exeter.
