Exeter financial experts Old Mill have appointed experienced tax specialist Stephen Martin as Senior Tax Adviser. The 37-year-old has joined Old Mill’s tax team to help the firm realise its ambitious growth plans.
Stephen qualified as an ACA in 2008 and worked at Moore Stephens in London where he trained in the business tax team. During his 10 years at the firm, Stephen progressed through to associate director and worked primarily with owner-managed SMEs across the financial services, shipping, and hospitality sectors covering a wide range of sectors.
As the largest ever NHS vaccination programme enters its last lap Devon’s Primary Care Medical Director Alex Degan has encouraged local residents to come forward for their first jab and remember to get their second vital and lifesaving dose.
The plea comes as people aged 40 and over are now able to book in their second jab on the national booking system from eight weeks after their first dose.
With everyone over the age of 21 now able to book in for the lifesaving vaccine, eligible people are being urged to get their first or second jab as soon as possible.

A diabetes expert at the University of Exeter has been awarded a fellowship at the Danish Diabetes Academy to develop an education programme to help people with Type 1 diabetes to exercise safely.
The programme will also help to grow important research into Type 1 diabetes and exercise in Denmark.

Devon, Plymouth, Somerset and Torbay Trading Standards Service has launched a new campaign to help prevent renters in the region being caught out by fees that have now been banned.
The law on what landlords and letting agents can charge tenants when beginning, ending or changing their contracts has changed.
It means renters can no longer be asked to pay extra for things like professional cleaning and having pets, or charged for references and credit checks.
The changes mean that there is only a limited number of fees which are still allowed by law.
