New Aldi store to open in Pinhoe

Aldi is set to open a brand new store in Pinhoe on Thursday 29th July at 8am.

The store on Exhibition Way will be run by Store Manager Mitchell Allen, along with a team of 25 colleagues from the local community.

As part of Aldi’s investment in local communities across the UK, the Pinhoe store will bring 10 new job opportunities to the area and offer more customers access to Aldi’s high quality, low-price products.

Take off for Loganair’s new Exeter-Norwich route

Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline, has today (12 July) launched a new direct service between Exeter and Norwich, enhancing its 2021 summer schedule.

The new route will operate up to four times weekly, flying Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays, connecting business and leisure travellers alike.

Operated using a 49-seat Embraer 145 regional jet, the route will see fares starting at just £64 one-way from Exeter.

Exeter financial experts Old Mill have appointed Len Dean as Senior VAT Adviser.

The 43-year-old, who led the Indirect Tax practice at PwC Scotland for six years, has relocated from Stirlingshire to Somerton, with his wife Amy and four children, to join the West Country firm.

Len will help grow Old Mill’s tax practice by expanding the VAT team’s capabilities and client offering with the aim of it becoming a leading independent tax practice in the region.

The new Exeter Bus Station will open to passengers on Sunday 25 July, it has been revealed.

The new station – a striking glass-fronted building in the heart of the city centre - replaces the current bus station which was constructed in the 1960s.

This new, fit-for-purpose modern facility will promote green public transport in the city and rural communities for decades to come.

Leading charities are urging Devon shoppers to donate food at their local Tesco to help support children and families across the UK this summer.

From July 15 to 17 Tesco is holding a summer Food Collection in aid of FareShare and the Trussell Trust at all of its large stores across the UK.

Shoppers are being urged to donate a variety of long-life foodstuffs to help FareShare supply thousands of community groups such as children’s holiday clubs and food pantries and help the Trussell Trust’s network of food banks provide emergency parcels to families in crisis.
