Artist Nick Matson has teamed up with controversial television family The Fulfords to create a unique art holiday experience at their home near Exeter.

The Fulfords rose to fame with Channel 4’s The F***ing Fulfords and BBC3’s Life is Toff, which documented their unconventional way of living in their run-down stately home.

Art enthusiasts will have a rare opportunity to inhabit the stunning period property at the Great Fulford Estate where they can soak up the grounds and landscape during a four night art holiday.

Mascots in Unison at Sandy Park

Buddy Bear from Devon’s Crealy Great Adventure Park joined other Mascots at Sandy Park for some half time fun and frivolity during the Exeter Chiefs v London Welsh rugby match.

This ‘mascots in unison’ event was to mark the Rugby World Cup games coming to Devon and to celebrate Devon’s Top Attractions 30th Anniversary year. Country park to get new play area

Children and families will soon have even more to enjoy when visiting the Grand Western Canal Country Park, with plans underway to create a play area in the Canal Basin in Tiverton.

The new facilities will be located on the little-used grassy area at the very end of the towpath where it meets Canal Hill.

Job Seeker's Allowance claims rise again

The number of Job Seeker’s Allowance (JSA) claimants in Devon increased in line with the national trend by 269 claimants between January 2015 and February 2015.

As a proportion of the working age population, Devon claimants increased very slightly from 0.9% in January to 1% in February, which remains one of the lowest rates on record. Devon’s claimant rate still remains far lower than the UK’s which stands at 2.1%, with Devon’s total claimants having fallen by 2,523 claimants (37%) since February 2014.

An Exeter School Senior Royal Air Force cadet has been awarded the Jack Sadler Award for outstanding contribution to the combined cadet force contingent (CCF).

Flight Sergeant and Head of RAF section James Krafft was presented with the brass trophy of an artillery shell case and an engraved medal by Contingent Commander, Lieutenant Commander (RN) Geoff Chapman.

Age UK Exeter 10k Race 2015

This is the only 10k Race in Exeter with a City Centre start and our 2015 route will take runners up the High Street, down Paris Street, Western Way and on to the Exeter Quayside.

From here it's a beautiful and flat stretch along rivers and canals finishing at the Piazza Terracina. This race will suit regular runners and beginners due to the relatively flat terrain. Download the route map here .

Exeter workers are masters of many trades

More than half of Exeter professionals (55%) say they are seeing more people in their industry with multiple jobs compared to five years ago.
