Stagecoach South West has this year, strengthened its partnerships with Devon County Council and Exeter City Council in relation to the joint efforts to prevent and tackle antisocial behaviour in and around Exeter’s bus station, improving safety and the overall customer experience by providing greater visibility and linking its CCTV system to the city-wide network.

Cumberland Grange in Exeter marked the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day in style by throwing a 1940s afternoon tea party to remember. The home was decorated in red, white and blue and residents and their families enjoyed an afternoon of live music and dancing.

New Photography Project Gives Voice to Young People's Mental Health Experiences

A thought-provoking new photography project is set to bring to life the mental health challenges young people experience. Images from the project, called (in)visible, will be exhibited in venues across Exeter and East Devon from May to November this year.

Headway Devon the local charity, based in Exeter, that specialises in helping those rehabilitate from head injuries are asking people to wear their hats on May 16th.

Every year supporters of the charity come together for a hat-tastic fundraising day to help them improve the lives of people suffering with brain injury.

A themed celebration has been held at Westbank Community Health and Care on the eve of Victory in Europe Day to mark the 80th anniversary of the end of World War Two in Europe. On 8 May 1945 huge crowds took to the streets to sing, dance and rejoice after nearly six years of war against Nazi Germany. At Westbank’s Healthy Living Centre in Exminster today a group of staff, volunteers and regular service users, some of whom were small children when the war ended, gathered to commemorate the 80th anniversary of VE Day and share their memories and thoughts about WWII.

Hospitality training programme for jobseekers to launch in Exeter

UKHospitality, in partnership with the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), is today announcing it will be running the new hospitality Sector-based Work Academy Programme (SWAP) in Exeter to help people into jobs in the sector and provide them with a Hospitality Skills Passport.
