Teddy Swims to headline TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham 2026

GRAMMY nominated vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims today announces a run of outdoor shows and festivals across the UK and Ireland for summer 2026 including a date in the Devon countryside.

The international chart-topper will head to TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham on Thursday June 25 as the latest headline artist announced for the live music event.

Devon pub launches craft cabin to help locals and receives top community award

The Lord-Lieutenant of Devon David Fursdon has officially opened a creative cabin at the Stoke Canon Inn in Stoke Canon.

During the opening ceremony the Lord-Lieutenant also awarded its volunteers with a Queen's Award for Voluntary Service.

The cabin is to be home to a raft of local groups including arts and crafts, learn a language, history lessons, knit and natter, folk singing, book club and bingo club.

Exmouth RNLI called to rescue missing 12 year old swimmer

Exmouth RNLI volunteer crew launched this afternoon to rescue a 12 year old missing whilst swimming off the coastline between Orcombe Point and Sandy Bay.

At 4.46pm today Tuesday 10 August 2021 the crew of Exmouth RNLI Inshore Lifeboat D-805 George Bearman II were tasked by H.M. Coastguard to attend a report of a 12 year old boy who had gone missing whilst out swimming from Sandy Bay.

Recruitment crisis causes nursery to give away £100,000 of garden plants free

A local family-run garden centre business is being forced to giveaway £100,000 worth of Garden Plants for FREE this weekend as they cannot recruit enough nursery staff to look after the plants if returned to their nurseries for the winter.

PEOPLE across Exeter are being urged to enter Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life as there are just weeks left until the big weekend.

The charity’s much-loved events are returning to the city but with socially distanced measures to keep participants safe. Money raised will help scientists find new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer, saving lives as the charity fights back from the impact of the pandemic.
