GRAMMY nominated vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims today announces a run of outdoor shows and festivals across the UK and Ireland for summer 2026 including a date in the Devon countryside.

The international chart-topper will head to TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham on Thursday June 25 as the latest headline artist announced for the live music event.

Clinically important blood tests will continue across Devon while global shortage of blood testing equipment is addressed

People requiring clinically urgent blood tests have been assured they will still be able to have them as surgeries and health care settings are faced with a shortage of equipment used for carrying out blood tests.

A global supply issue is affecting the availability nationally of the blood tubes used for blood tests and this is now having an impact on the number of tests that are being carried out.

The shortage means surgeries and other healthcare settings are having to restrict the number of blood tests they can carry out and reduce non-clinically urgent testing....

Paragon grows Acorn relationship with £23.2m finance package for Exeter scheme

Acorn Property Group has secured a £23.2 million finance package from Paragon Development Finance to support the development of its St Leonards Quarter scheme in Exeter.

The finance will assist with the Phase 1 development of 37 one and two-bed apartments and 28 two to five-bed houses. The development is located within the popular St Leonards area of the city, which is close to independent restaurants and shops, as well as the River Exe.

England’s first town-based beavers confirmed in East Devon

The first beaver activity in an East Devon town has been confirmed.

On 3rd August 2021 a felled apple tree in Millers Way community orchard was reported by a member of the local community. The Devon Wildlife Trust beaver range, Jake Chant inspected the site and confirmed the presence of at least one beaver in the Gissage.

Churches in Devon are being encouraged to submit their entries to Ecclesiastical Insurance’s ‘Good News’ competition before the deadline in September.

The specialist insurer is looking for churches to share their good news stories from the past 18 months, showcasing how they’ve supported their local communities during a challenging time. The winning church will scoop a total prize of £7,500.
