Teddy Swims to headline TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham 2026

GRAMMY nominated vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims today announces a run of outdoor shows and festivals across the UK and Ireland for summer 2026 including a date in the Devon countryside.

The international chart-topper will head to TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham on Thursday June 25 as the latest headline artist announced for the live music event.

The UK’s largest nature conservation charity, the RSPB, has revealed it’s “top ten spectacular autumn nature reserves” to visit this September, as people across the country look to escape the everyday with a staycation.

Dates announced for Devon County Show 2022

The Devon County Agricultural Association is delighted to announce that the 2022 Devon County Show will take place on Thursday 30th June, Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd July.

The event traditionally runs during the third week of May, but along with other shows was cancelled in 2020.

In 2021, the Show was delayed to July and was one of the few three-day agricultural shows to go ahead.

As a Covid Safe outdoor event, the organisers were delighted at the confidence of the general public and welcomed over 60,000 visitors across the three days.

New bee habitats created thanks to brick donations

Six schools in the area have been nominated by the local community to be given a bee brick from RGB Building Supplies so they can encourage solitary bees to their outdoor areas.

For every sale over £150 during Solitary Bee Week, which took place between Monday 28th June and Sunday 4th July, RGB donated money to purchase bee bricks from Cornwall-based company Green&Blue. Virtual hospital appointments save 13.5 million patient miles

Video and phone appointments held at hospitals across Devon saved patients an estimated 13.5 million miles of travelling; equivalent to circumnavigating the globe 550 times.

The NHS also estimates that, in the 12 months to 23 August 2021, the benefits of running virtual appointments also saved patients more than 277,679 hours in travel time and staying at home led to a reduction of over 2,500 tonnes of the greenhouse gas carbon dioxide. Reducing air pollution through patients making fewer car journeys can also directly impact on people’s health.
