Students planning a career in law will be able to complete both the academic stage of their training and the Legal Practice Course (LPC) at the University of Exeter thanks to an innovative collaboration with The University of Law (ULaw).

From September 2015, non-law graduates will be able to convert to law after completing a Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) course taught by ULaw at University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus. The Legal Practice Course (LPC), which is the next stage of the training for LLB and GDL graduates wishing to become solicitors, will be offered from September 2016...

The existing exit at the bottom end of Aller Brake Road where it connects onto the A380 is to be closed as part of the South Devon Link Road construction programme.

The closure will take place with effect from 9pm on Sunday 10 May. It will remain closed for a period of approximately 12 weeks and will re-open at the end of July 2015.

The works are a key part of the construction programme which facilitates final access for residents of the Aller estate onto the Aller Park Link Road, whilst also increasing the drainage capacity in the vicinity.

Police have named the teenage girl who died following a fatal speedboat incident in Brixham, Devon, on Saturday 2 May 2015.

Emily Gardner (pictured), 14, from the Gloucester area, was trapped underneath a small speedboat, after it overturned, with three other people on board, just outside Brixham Harbour.

Officers were alerted about the incident by the Coastguard at 12.11pm. Lifeboat crews from Brixham attended and released Emily before taking her to shore.

Emily was taken to Torbay Hospital by ambulance in a critical condition but was pronounced dead a short time...
