On Saturday 17th October 2020 West End Stars are bringing their talents to Exeter Racecourse with the previously sold out West End meets Animation LIVE and West End Extravaganza LIVE.

Appearing will be: David Ribi (Channel 5 Milkshake), Emma Hatton (Wicked), Jason Leigh Winter (Kinky Boots), Lauren Varnham (Gypsy), Lucy St. Louis (Motown), Matt Croke (Aladdin) And local star Romanie Jija-Walker (School of Rock)

Scott Hayes will be Musical Director.

Half-Term West End Workshop

A half-term workshop featuring West End performer Victoria Farley (Les Miserables, Wicked).

This workshop features three West End shows (Les Miserable, Hairspray and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child) and gives young performers aged 6-18 years the opportunity to develop their acting, dancing, singing and performing skills.

Cost is just £30 per person (sibling discount is available).

Study to assess whether Exeter needs new entertainment venue underway

Work to assess the need for a major new entertainment venue in the city is underway.

Exeter City Council has appointed external adviser Fourth Street to carry out a needs assessment for a new 1,000 seat minimum capacity venue.

Fourth Street will analyse current and future demand for different facilities, current provision and potential opportunities and funding.

It will then report back to councillors and the New Entertainment Venue Advisory Group, which was set up by the council to support the review.

Exeter students to perform on West End stage

Students from the full time BTEC Dance course at Exeter College have been selected by Rambert Dance Company to perform at a national showcase at The Peacock Theatre in London’s West End.

The showcase will be held on Tuesday 28 June and is the final event of Rambert Elements, a nationwide choreography challenge for schools and colleges that has been taking place throughout the 2015/16 academic year.
