The Telegraph recently reported that the number of international students at the UK’s elite universities has nearly doubled in less than 10 years, with official figures from the institutions showing an approximate increase of 92.3%. Exeter students reach global final of Microsoft App competition

A team of students from the University of Exeter have come first in the national heat of the Microsoft Imagine Cup, an international student technology competition in which students develop their own apps from scratch.

They will now travel to Russia in May to participate in the global final, where the top prize stands at £50,000.
