CITY Community Trust’s Santa Run is back for 2018 and we’re excited to welcome as many runners as possible into our CITY centre to start the Christmas celebrations.

On Sunday 3 December, Exeter Deaf Academy student Sam Harris will take on the city’s Santa Run to raise money for his school with THREE generations of his family running alongside him.
12 year-old Sam will be joined by his 3 year-old stepsister Alex, his father and stepmother, and his grandparents Jane (64) and Ted (74). Sam’s father Robert said;

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is delighted to be one of the chosen charities for the Exeter City Community Trust Santa Run in Exeter on Sunday 3rd December, and is looking for volunteers to help marshal the event.
Volunteers would be needed from 8.00am – 10.30am on the day of the run which starts and finishes in Princesshay, so you can then continue the festive spirit with a bit of Christmas shopping at the Christmas market afterwards!

The event is organised by Exeter City Football Club’s Football in the Community, with Exeter Deaf Academy being one of their chosen charities.
Exeter Deaf Academy educates and cares for students aged 4-24, but it is not funded in the same way as state schools and so relies on fundraising for essential projects that otherwise would not happen.

Nearly 400 people of all ages, dressed as Santa, enjoyed a brisk jog or walk around the Exeter Quay in beautiful winter sunshine on Sunday 2nd December.
