Exeter Chiefs newcomer Greg Holmes says he is “excited” by the challenge that lies ahead as he prepares to join up with the Aviva Premiership club in the coming weeks.

The 33-year-old prop is one of three new faces set to arrive at Sandy Park this summer, having been recruited by head coach Rob Baxter from Australian Super Rugby side, Queensland Reds, ahead of the new 2016/17 season.

Holmes is set to end his 11-year association with the Reds once the current Super Rugby season finishes and will come straight into the Chiefs plans as they look to attack the new Premiership...

Homeowners near Sandy Park are winners

An estate agency says that if Exeter Chiefs win the coveted prize of the Aviva Premiership title this weekend it could mean more than a medal for those living close to the Chiefs home ground, Sandy Park.

Research by leading fixed fee estate agent, eMoov.co.uk, shows that the Chiefs road to the final has been beneficial for more than Exeter rugby fans.

Since Exeter moved from the County Ground to Sandy Park in 2006, in order to facilitate the growth of the franchise and turn the team into Premiership contenders, the average asking price in the surrounding area has increased...

‘This is no flash in the pan’ – Baxter

Rob Baxter insists Exeter’s march to a first-ever Aviva Premiership final is no ‘flash in the pan’ – but instead the culmination of years of hard work behind the scenes at Sandy Park.

The Exeter head coach watched on with glowing pride as his side set-up a mouth-watering final assignment of the season against recently crowned European champions Saracens at Twickenham next Saturday (3pm).

Two penalty tries, along with touchdowns for Ian Whitten (pictured) and Dave Ewers, were the highlights on a memorable day for the Devon club, whose remaining points came courtesy of the...

Exeter Chiefs may find themselves in unchartered waters when it comes to the Aviva Premiership play-offs, but head coach Rob Baxter wants his team to make the most of the opportunity afforded to them this weekend. Having finished the scheduled English season in second spot, accruing 15 wins from 22 games, the Chiefs have home advantage for tomorrow’s visit of Wasps to a packed out Sandy Park (3:15pm). It will mark the fourth meeting of the season between the two clubs, but it’s arguably the biggest yet with the prize on offer a trip to Twickenham a week later in the showpiece event of the...
