Baxter likes what he sees in new prop

As he has proved for a number of years now, Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter isn’t afraid to put his trust in players from the Championship making the step up to life in the Aviva Premiership.

Today, the Chiefs leader has added his latest new face to the club’s playing ranks for next season with the signing of prop Harry Williams from Jersey.

The talented tight-head, who has agreed a two-year deal with the Sandy Park outfit, is Baxter’s seventh new addition for next term and his second is as many weeks from English rugby’s second tier.

Every Key Stage One and Foundation child in Exeter is to receive a free, specially commissioned book about Rugby as a part of Exeter’s Rugby World Cup 2015 Legacy commitment.

Event inspires young rugby enthusiasts

A three-day rugby training camp held by Exeter Chiefs and Newton Abbot has been hailed an ‘amazing success’.

More than 90 five to 14 year olds took part in the three-day Rugby Training Camp held at Newton Abbot Rugby Club, in the Easter holidays.

Boys and girls took part, learning rugby and multi-sport skills provided by qualified rugby coaches and 1st XV players. The training camp culminated with Exeter Chiefs star players Tom Johnson and Gareth Steenson getting involved on the final day, thanks to the Premiership side’s sponsor Centrax.

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter believes new signing Will Hooley is a “great fit” for his side after he today sealed a move from Aviva Premiership counterparts Northampton Saints.

Newcomer Shaun Malton says he’s ready to start an “exciting new chapter in his life” after he became the latest addition to Rob Baxter’s first team squad at Exeter Chiefs.
