The man who brought us revolting children, the wonderful Mr. Willy Wonka and the gruesome Mr and Mrs Twits turns 100 today and although he is no longer alive, he still continues to put a smile on children and adults faces around the world with his magical storytelling.

An examination of the work of Roald Dahl and how his childhood experiences might have influenced his writing. The show, performed by Nick Wood, will compare events described in tales from Roald Dahl’s childhood with characters in his books. He suggests how we all have something within ourselves to write about and that these stories should be told. The show will include the use of puppets inspired by the illustrations of Quentin Blake, and some audience participation.
