Budding photographers of all ages are invited to enter their best photographs of Seaton Devon, into Snap Seaton a brand new competition launched by Seaton Town Council.
The Snap Seaton photography competition is inviting adults and children to send their best shots of the beautiful seaside town, its beach, attractions and surrounding areas. The winning photos in the child and adult categories will be made into postcards that will be available throughout the summer.
The Monochrome format simplifies and strengthens our photographs. We draw attention to what caught our eye. We highlight patterns of light and shadow, or use light falling across a surface to emphasise grainy textures. An effective monochrome is reliant on its composition. A careful arrangement of shapes, lines, textures and patterns can transform your photograph.
MONOCHROME is a touring photographic exhibition created and supported by The Photographic Angle.
The photographers participating in this theme have sent us striking images of the widest range of species, from elephants to insects. Many of the images in this exhibition highlight the relationships that species have with their habitats. What shines through is the photographers’ admiration and empathy with the subject, together with their sheer joy and sense of privilege of being able to photograph them.
Are you an experienced amateur wildlife photographer who would jump at the chance to photograph Exe Estuary wildlife from the vantage point of a stationary boat? We are running a special cruise to allow for those 'once in a lifetime' shots.
Your RSPB on-board wildlife guide, Jo King, will point out species such as black-tailed godwits, dunlins, golden plovers – and of course – avocets; liaising with the skipper to stop the boat for fantastic photo opportunities.
This is a great opportunity to get up close with some stunning wildlife! Booking essential.
Performance was conceived early in 2012 as British excitement grew in anticipation of hosting the Olympics. Local sporting events were photographed as communities played their part in preparing for the Games. Other photographers concentrated on artistic events, from dance and theatre to street performance and music. This exhibition highlights the transitory nature of action-orientated photography

A group of dedicated young people, the Macula Collective, have been out in all weathers, all through the winter capturing images of Heavitree Pleasure Grounds - IN THE DARK! This project was commissioned by the people of Heavitree themselves as part of the Heavitree Squilometre project and we're pleased present the results of this youth-focused work in a pop-up Exhibition in Heavitree Park.
The Exhibition will also include images from other memory and reminiscence work from other members of the Heavitree Community who were keen to share what the Park means to them.
This is a collaborative exhibition with The Photographic Angle and PhotoVoice. It offers an extraordinary insight into the lives of people from many 'voiceless' communities around the world. Images on display come from 4 collections ‘See It Our Way’, ‘How We See It’, ‘Lookout London’ and ‘Sights Unseen’. All work submitted by PhotoVoice.
VOICES is a touring photographic exhibition created and supported by The Photographic Angle.
Including both the work of South West based and international photographers, the festival features exhibitions, talks, film screenings, workshops and a book fair. A range of work from acclaimed visual artists and emerging photographers, supported by Unveil’d, will be on view to the public.
One of photography’s most intrinsic and oldest objectives has been to secure a moment in time and offer it as evidence in some sort of true, concrete experience. This Exhibition brings together artists whose work explores environments as a testament to our presence, existence, identity and our place in society.
