Soap legend leads all star panto in Exmouth

OH no It isn't, Oh yes it is! It's only June but panto bosses at Exmouth Pavilion proudly announce this year's Christmas pantomime,The Wizard Of Oz.

One of the UK’s fastest growing pantomime companies has joined forces with Exmouth Pavilion for the third year running to bring the biggest pantomime the venue has had to date.

The Wizard of Oz will run at the theatre from Saturday 24th December to Monday 2nd January and will have an all star cast headlined by soap star legend Ken Farrington.

Pavilions Teignmouth gets ready for official opening

An official opening date for the £5million new Pavilions Teignmouth has been announced for Monday 4 April.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 3pm and will be carried out by Teignbridge District Council’s Leader Cllr Jeremy Christophers and Margaret Davidson, Chair of the Pavilions Board of Trustees. This will launch a month of diverse arts activities showcasing all the centre can deliver and the best of local talent.

Reeves & Mortimer show cancelled

Vic Reeves & Bob Mortimer’s promoter has confirmed that comedian Bob Mortimer has undergone a successful triple bypass heart operation, and subsequently their Plymouth show on Sunday 29 November has been cancelled.

Following the operation, Bob will need to rest and recuperate for several weeks. Because of this, the first leg of the upcoming UK tour ‘25 Years of Reeves and Mortimer – The Poignant Moments’ has been cancelled. It is hoped that the January and February 2016 shows will go ahead as planned.

New year, new beginning for Pavilions

As 2014 nears to a close, it marks a fresh start in the exciting project to create a brand new landmark building in Teignmouth.

Demolition of the former Carlton Theatre is complete and the site is ready for construction of the new building which will house arts, business and enterprise.

The new building will be known as Pavilions Teignmouth.

Pavilions Teignmouth was selected from a long list of proposals by its new board of trustees who have been appointed to guide the vision for the centre and shape its future on behalf of everyone who will use it.

Daniel O'Donnell cancels Plymouth concert to be with critically ill Father-in-law

This Friday’s Daniel O’Donnell concert at Plymouth Pavilions has been cancelled, along with the remainder of his UK tour.

Unfortunately, Daniel’s Father-in-law is critical in hospital with a suspected brain hemorrhage, and so understandably Daniel has had no choice but to cancel his shows, for which both Daniel and his management offer their sincere apologies.
