Panto comes home to the Exeter Northcott Theatre

Panto is coming back home to the Exeter Northcott Theatre with a new production by one of the country’s leading pantomime directors.

Dick Whittington is set to open next month, marking a spectacular return to the theatre’s tradition of producing its own pantomimes.

The show follows Dick as he leaves his Exeter home for the bright lights of London in search of fame and fortune, his faithful Puss by his side.

The first Northcott panto since 2009, it promises plenty of audience participation, live music, magic, mayhem and lots of laughter as Dick reaches the big city...

Exeter Northcott Theatre is delighted to announce that antiques expert and television presenter Tim Wonnacott will join its 50th anniversary gala line-up in November.

Best known for presenting BBC One’s Bargain Hunt, Tim will be the auctioneer at the 50th anniversary gala auction where audience members can bid on some exciting prizes yet to be announced.

Robert Lindsay announced for Northcott Anniversary Gala

Exeter Northcott Theatre has announced that acclaimed actor Robert Lindsay will perform in its 50th anniversary gala in November.

Robert is an Olivier-winning actor known for his acclaimed performances both on and off screen, including appearances with the Royal Shakespeare Company, as well his role as the hapless dentist Ben Harper in BBC’s My Family.

Exeter Northcott Theatre is delighted to announce its exciting autumn 2017 season. The season will see the theatre celebrate its 50th anniversary, co-produce another UK national tour, and see pantomime return.

Dick Knittington appeal

Exeter Northcott Theatre is appealing for knitters to help prepare for its Christmas pantomime.

The theatre would like volunteers to create knitted cupcakes that can be used during the 60 performances of Dick Whittington, which takes place from Saturday 2 December until Sunday 7 January.

As a thank you for the support the Northcott hopes to receive through the appeal, it has teamed up with Home-Start Exeter and Devon & Cornwall Housing Association to offer 500 free pantomime tickets to families who may not be in a financial position to come to the theatre this Christmas...

Innovative theatre company Creative Cow from Devon brings an evening of hilarity and satire to Exeter in this witty adaptation of Graham Greene’s spy thriller ‘Our Man in Havana’.
