Bulgarian singing star on flying visit to Exeter for charity concert in aid of Unicef

A rising star of the operatic world, Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Svetlina Stoyanova, will be coming to Exeter at the end of the month to take part in a special charity concert in aid of UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund.

Currently singing in Vienna at the famous State Opera, Svetlina will be flying to Exeter for just thirty-six hours to take part in the concert at Southernhay United Reformed Church on Saturday 29th September.

The Maynard stands up for International Day of the Girl

The all girls’ Maynard School in Exeter raised a hand this morning in support of today’s International Day of the Girl, to show solidarity with girls around the world in less fortunate circumstances than themselves.

Devon's best U14 Netball team secures place at national finals

The Maynard School’s Under 14 Netball team is now officially ranked as one of the top netball teams in the country, following a fantastic performance at the Regional finals of the National Schools Competition on Saturday 21 January. In an action packed tournament, they beat some major competition to book their spot at the national finals to be held in Welwyn Garden City in March.
