Matford

Work has started on the next junction to be developed as part of the infrastructure development on the outskirts of Exeter.

The School Access Junction is a new signalised junction off the A379, between the Devon Hotel Roundabout and the existing junction with Chudleigh Road.

It is part of the £55 million infrastructure project to the south west of Exeter which will enable the development of 2,500 homes and employment.

A team of staff at Matford Land Rover did 14,000 push-ups before Christmas as part of a “Push up challenge” to raise money for Teenage Cancer Trust. Stagecoach South West announced today that, starting from 3 January 2017, it is merging its Blue, SR4 (Sowton) and Green (Matford) park and ride services.

This will create a new cross-city connection with the route simply branded as ‘Green’ park and ride. The Red park and ride timetable, serving Honiton Road, will remain unchanged.

The new service will operate up to every 15 minutes, 6 days a week, with the end-to-end journey taking around half an hour.

Stagecoach South West has announced that additional car parking spaces will be temporarily available at the Matford Park & Ride site across the busy Christmas shopping period and into the New Year.
