Places filling up fast for half term football roadshows

Places are filling up fast for Exeter City’s Football in the Community children’s football roadshows during the May half term.

There will be three different events in Exeter, plus courses in Dawlish, Exmouth, Sidmouth, Crediton, Tiverton, Seaton, Feniton, Okehampton, North Tawton and Barnstaple.

A two-day course on the astroturf at St Luke’s Science and Sports College kicks off half term, starting on Tuesday 28th May and costing £27 for the two days. A special futsal event for seven to 14-year-olds takes place...

Award-winning storyteller at Devon Guild this Easter

Storytelling is magic. Especially when it brings strange and wonderful objects to life. On 30 March you can hear talented performer Wilf Merttens tell tales about the unusual objects on show in the Devon Guild’s current exhibition,‘Transplantation’. Wilf, who ‘tells poems, brings legends, jumps about’ - has won awards for his vibrant performances (Storyteller of the Year 2009, Bristol Storytelling slam prize) which entertain young and old alike. Two Saturday Art Club sessions still to come at Spacex

For the past few weeks Saturday mornings at Spacex have been busy as Art Club children try out activities that link to their current exhibition. Children have made words with food, created wild, large-scale drawings and doodled imaginary creatures. Spacex was also helping to keep kids entertained this half term at their Big Draw event on 30th October.

If you think this sounds like fun, then there are still two Art Club sessions left on 10th and 17th November.
