Thursday 12th October 2017 at 19.00 Put together a team of 6-8 and compete in the Nave of Exeter Cathedral (under the world's longest uninterrupted medieval vaulted ceiling). There'll be some prizes up for grabs on the night, plus bragging rights as the 2017 Great Big Cathedral Quiz Champions! Tickets are just £10 per person and include a delicious hog roast courtesy of Kenniford Farm. There's even a cash bar provided by The Oddfellows! We're sorry that Tony Hawks is unable to be with us as our quizmaster as previously advertised, but we're still looking forward to 'quizzing' on 12th...

Trio of awards for farm's speciality sausages

A Devon farm has beaten off stiff competition to win not one, but three, highly sought-after awards for its farm-reared pork products.

Taste of the West awarded Kenniford Farm a gold award for its cranberry and rosemary sausages and two silver awards for its scotch egg and Cumberland ring.

The awards celebrate quality, integrity, and provenance of food in the west, and seek to promote and give recognition to local produce that goes above and beyond in terms of quality and taste.

Rustic Family Fun at Local Farm Open Day

PLACE your bets on the grand Kenniford Farm piglet race, enjoy live music and devour a delicious hog roast as part of a host of fun activities at the farm’s open day this June.

Kenniford Farm, which is just a few miles from Exeter in Clyst St Mary, is opening its gates to the public as part of Open Farm Sunday, which takes place on June 11.

As well as stalls, local beer and entertainment for all ages, there will be a chance to look behind the scenes at the farm, and meet the pigs - from the tiny newborn piglets to the fully-grown sows rolling in the sandy fields.

Racing piglets are highlight of open day

RACING piglets were one of the highlights of the attractions on offer at a Devon farm’s open day.

Hundreds of people attended Kenniford Farm, near Exeter, as part of Open Farm Sunday this weekend.

As well as the piglets, there was live music from La Vie en Rose, farm tours, stalls, and local food and drink.

New deal puts local pork on the menu

Business continues to go from strength to strength for an Exeter family farm.

The Freemantle family has been farming pigs at Kenniford Farm on the outside of Exeter for more than 20 years.

And the farm had just signed a deal with a local pub chain Webb Enterprises to supply three local pubs with its Red Tractor approved pork.

Webb Enterprises specialises in running traditional pubs and restaurants and owns the Halfway Inn on the A3052, The Saddlers Arms at Lympstone and The Bowd Inn, Sidmouth.
