Teddy Bear Parachute Jump ** POSTPONED **

The four Rotary Clubs of Exeter have announced that their third Teddy Bear Parachute Jump event will take place on Cathedral Green on Saturday 2 May 2015 between 11am and 3pm, raising funds for Honeylands Children’s Charity in Exeter.

The event promises to be a fun packed day for all the family and a thrilling experience for any teddies brave enough to complete the parachute jump from the top of a 100ft high hydraulic platform provided courtesy of the Devon & Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

Wanted: Father Christmas thrill-seekers

A number of local and national charities are looking for daredevil volunteers to jump from a perfectly good aircraft, dressed as Father Christmas.

Skydive UK, near Honiton, have launched their annual Santa Skydive this week, set to take place from 27-29 December.

Up to 120 charity fundraisers will jump 15,000ft dressed as Father Christmas to raise money for good causes.

A plethora of future jump racing stars are set to line up at Exeter Racecourse today (Tuesday 22 October) when the course stages its annual Best Mate Novice Chase Day.

That particular race is named after the legendary racehorse Best Mate who began his glittering career over fences at Exeter in 2000. He went on to win the Cheltenham Gold Cup three times and amass over £1 million in prize money.

What an incredible year at the increasingly popular skydiving school located in South West near Honiton.

The weather has been so good to the local adrenaline junkies this summer, that they have decided to give something back.

Jumping from 15,000ft from the UK’s fastest jump plane is no longer a challenge for experienced skydivers but doing the same for charity wearing just underwear is a different story!

The 35 strong team have already raised over £3,000 which is being split between Breast Cancer Care and Prostate Cancer UK.

Call for volunteers to take part in Superhero Skydive

Skydive UK and Age UK Exeter are putting on a Superhero Skydive and we need your help. We are looking for 10 volunteers to tandem jump from 15,000ft to raise vital funds. You can jump for free if you raise £395 in sponsorship and you will also get a DVD of your skydive at half the normal cost.
