Come along to Darts Farm to help celebrate Devon's Air Ambulances' 25th anniversary of saving lives. There is lots for all of the family including an emergency services demonstration at 12.30pm featuring DAA aircrew, the fire, police and ambulance services.

Do your children love the Goose books? Goose's creator and author Laura Wall will be holding story telling sessions at 10am and 11am. There will also be an opportunity to have your photo taken with Laura. There may even be a special appearance by Goose! Music provided by Exmouth Sea Shanty and Mrs Jones.

Gregory helps Air Ambulance make ‘Night Time Flight Time’

The Devon Air Ambulance Trust’s (DAAT) campaign to fund night time flying by the onset of next winter has been given a huge boost by logistics business Gregory Distribution Limited.

The Devon based transport company has had a 44 ft trailer liveried with DAAT’s stunning night flying images and campaign message – ‘Help Us Make Night Time Flight Time’ – with the vehicle entering service on Gregory’s Devon Chill operation operating out of its North Tawton depot from where it will gain maximum exposure across the county.

Sea Kings descend on Exeter School

Exeter School pupils were given the experience of a lifetime when two Sea Kings descended onto the playing fields on Friday 4 March.

The Royal Navy helicopters had flown from RNAS Yeovilton especially to give 80 lucky combined cadet force (CCF) cadets a 20-minute flight as part of their training.

Head of CCF section Dr Geoff Chapman said it was an amazing opportunity for the whole school and CCF. “The visit of the Sea Kings was exciting enough, but being able to get 80 cadets airborne was an unprecedented opportunity which I am sure pupils will remember for a long time....

Helicopters move to Exeter Airport

Devon and Cornwall Police and Devon Air Ambulance Trust have this week relocated helicopter operations to a new shared airbase at Exeter Airport. The two aircraft have been moved from the former site at Police Headquarters, Middlemoor, following the sale of land for development. The helicopters will be housed at a secure location at the nearby airport which features a dedicated landing pad, hangar and purpose-built flight operations offices for both teams. There will be no change in service from either helicopter, and they will be under visual direction from Air Traffic Control when...
