Healthy turnout for gym voting event

There was a healthy turnout for a voting event held by Budleigh Salterton Town Council for residents to choose their new free-to-use outdoor gym.

The interest shown was impressive, with 139 residents from all age-groups coming along to vote at the late-night shopping event.

Residents got to vote on which one of three designs they wanted installed, the winner with 47% of all votes was Option C, a design from Proludic. The result now needs to be ratified by Budleigh Salterton Town Council and EDDC to release the available money.

Opened on 5 September 2013, the Russell Seal Fitness Centre on the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus is already proving a huge success.

Construction work on the new £6.5 million Russell Seal Fitness Centre at the University of Exeter’s Streatham Campus is nearing completion.

If you've indulged a little too much over Christmas, why not raise pounds by losing pounds?

The 2013 Dream-A-Weigh weightloss challenge was today launched by Exeter charity Dream-A-Way.

All you need to do is weigh in as soon as you can then complete the annual challenge by losing 10% of your start weight and raising more than £100 to support the charity's work.
