After hours of studying and hands-on training, Nicola Oakey, 25 has graduated from the pioneering Homebase Garden Academy, and secured a job working as a trainee horticulture writer at the RHS.

Over the last year Nicola, has spent the last year learning from leading horticulture experts, including academy mentor and award winning garden designer Adam Frost. During the programme she studied everything from planting to lawn care and landscaping, while also working full-time at her local Homebase store in Frome within the garden centre, helping customers create gardens they love....

RISE Recovery celebrate first peer supporter graduation

The inspirational achievements of nine peer supporters at RISE Recovery Integrated Services were recognised at the first ever RISE Peer Supporter graduation on Tuesday 22nd September.

The graduation ceremony was held at RISE Exeter with peer supporters coming from RISE services across the county including Newton Abbot, Barnstaple, Tiverton and Exeter.

Over the last year each of the peer supporters completed an ‘Understanding the Principles of Care, Organisational Policies and the Role of the Supporter’ training course accredited by NOCN and have since become a vital part of...

A Lord, a Nobel Prize winner, a BAFTA winning playwright and a European athletics gold medallist will be amongst those honoured at the University of Exeter’s summer graduation this year.

In total, 15 special guests will receive an Honorary Degree and the CSM Trust will be inducted into the College of Benefactors as part of the celebrations at the Streatham campus in Exeter and in Truro Cathedral for the Penryn Campus in Cornwall.

Uni celebrates winter graduation

Saturday January 17 sees more than 800 students celebrating their graduation across three ceremonies during the course of the day.

Each of them will be presided over by the University’s Chancellor, Baroness Floella Benjamin OBE DL. She will personally greet each graduand and inspire them to use their education to make a difference in the world.

Around 130 Exeter College Higher Education students will don their caps and gowns on today (Friday 24 October and take to the streets to process through the city for their Graduation Ceremony, which is being held at Exeter Cathedral at 3.00pm.
