Big Breakfast raises big bucks

Gilbert Stephens LLP held a charity breakfast fundraiser at Graze Cafe, Sidmouth, for FORCE Cancer Charity and raised over £450 for the cause based in Exeter.

FORCE is the solicitors nominated charity of the year and around 40 people tucked in to help raise funds for the charity which helps support local people affected by cancer.

Solicitors back sizzling fundraising event

On Thursday 12 September, Devon-based law firm Gilbert Stephens LLP will be hosting The Great Devon Breakfast in aid of local cancer charity, FORCE.

The Great Devon Breakfast is an annual fundraising event organised by the local cancer charity and last year, 14 different venues across the county hosted a Great Devon Breakfast, raising £10,000 between them.

The event supported by Gilbert Stephens LLP will be held at Graze Cafe located on the High Street and starts at 8am. Breakfast costs £10 and includes a full English with tea or coffee and organisers hope it will help...

200 interviews in one day for Exeter School pupils

Over 100 Upper Sixth pupils at Exeter School took part in the annual Interview Scheme held at Gilbert Stephens and the RILD at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital on Saturday 1 October.

45 local professionals conducted over 200 work style interviews in the space of one day.

Careers Adviser Ruth Cheesman said she was very grateful to receive such crucial support.

Honiton Church to host charity Violin Recital

With spring finally pushing through the last remnants of winter, St Paul’s Church in Honiton is set to play host to a Spring Violin Recital on Wednesday 19th March at 7.30pm.

The event, sponsored by Gilbert Stephens Solicitors, will feature Devon violinist Marie Langrishe. Marie is 19 and lives near Honiton. She started learning the violin aged 7, and continued musical studies whilst studying at Maynard School in Exeter, where she led both the school orchestras and the school quartet for a number of years.
