The Impressionists’ Dream (1870-1890) Number of participants : five maximum. Cost : £27 Level: Proficient or above Speak and listen to French for three hours with two French tutors, Bernard and Dominique. Learn about an aspect of the French culture in a relaxed informal atmosphere. No prior knowledge is required to attend this workshop on Impressionist painters.

We are very fortunate to live just outside Exeter, a city which now boasts a vast array of assorted eateries, bars and restaurants and we endeavour to dine out with our two boys at least once a month and have done this since the boys were small as I did with my parents introducing them to new flavours and learning to behave impeccably when dining out amongst the ‘grown-ups’. Rob Baxter says he will utilise every option available to him as he looks to keep his Exeter Chiefs team firing on all cylinders.

After six weeks of Aviva Premiership action, focus this weekend switches to that of Europe and a trip to French Top14 side Bayonne in their opening round of this season’s new-look European Rugby Challenge Cup.

The Chiefs head across the English Channel later today to prepare for their on-field engagement at the Stade Jean Dauger tomorrow night (8pm CET).

Bayonne first up for the Chiefs

Exeter Chiefs will kick-off their European Rugby Challenge Cup campaign for the 2014/15 season with a trip to Bayonne.

Rob Baxter's side will travel to the Stade Jean Dauger on Saturday, October 18 with an 8pm kick-off.

A week later, the Chiefs will play host to Connacht Rugby at Sandy Park with a 3pm kick-off.

European action resumes in December with back-to-back encounters with La Rochelle, before the group stages are completed in January with a trip to Connacht and a home date with Bayonne.

Chairman of Exeter based Flybe to leave company

Exeter-based airline, Flybe has said that its Chairman Jim French will leave the company as part of a strategic review to restore profitability.

French, 60, became Flybe chairman in 2005, passing his former role as CEO to Saad Hammad to former Easyjet executive.
