Exeter City come from behind to earn a much needed point

Report: Exeter City 2 Dag & Red 2

A goal deep, deep into stoppage time by Eliot Richards earned Exeter City a 2-2 draw at home against Dagenham & Redbridge.

The Grecians had gone ahead in the first half through Tom Nichols, but a fine strike by Luke Norris got the visitors on terms in the second period.

Dagenham went ahead through what appeared to be a soft penalty, as Medy Elito slotted in after Brian Saah was judged to have been fouled, by Richards rescued a point with virtually the last kick of the game.

After impressing in midweek for the under-...

Grecians create chances but no goals

Report: Exeter City 0 Wycombe 1

Exeter City were on the wrong end of a 1-0 scoreline for the second time in four days as Wycombe Wanderers left St James Park with all three points.

Max Kretzschmar, who scored to earn the Chairboys a win over Sky Bet League 2 leaders Chesterfield on Saturday, was the match-winner again, this time with a special lob over Christy Pym from 35 yards.

For the second successive Tuesday, Paul Tisdale and his Exeter City players had a rearranged League 2 fixture at St James Park. After Morecambe were the visitors last week, Gareth Ainsworth...

#1 – Do It Yourself

Tools – the main item of the male wish list and the reason for ‘tool envy’ the world over. And yes, men are undoubtedly better than women at D.I.Y, just as women are better at applying nail varnish – fact. Even better, it keeps them out of the way too.

#2 – Football

It’s the sport that men live, breathe and dream of. They organise their wedding date around it...

Love football? Love Exeter City's half-term courses discount

Children love Exeter City Football in the Community department’s holiday football courses and we're hoping parents will love our 10 per cent discount for all half-term bookings made up until 5pm on Valentine's Day. But while there might be love in the air, there’s every chance there might also be rain, so FITC have ensured rain won’t stop play this half term. “Given the weather we have been experiencing this winter, we've booked as many indoor facilities as we can,” Scott Walker, sports development officer at Football in the Community, said. “Although children are on a break from the...

Another Draw for the Grecians

Report: Burton Albion 1 Exeter City 1 Exeter City and Burton Albion shared the points with a 1-1 draw at the Pirelli Stadium, in an entertaining game on a difficult surface.

Both goals came within a three-minute period in the second half – and the opener came in familiar fashion for both teams. Burton, who had turned in two own-goals the previous weekend, did the same again as Ian Sharps put the ball into his own net after stopper Dean Lyness failed to hold a rocketed effort by John O’Flynn. It was the third time in four games that City had gone ahead courtesy of an opponent...

Exeter City v Oxford match report

Report: Exeter City 0 Oxford Utd 0

For the second time this season, Exeter City and Oxford United played out a goalless stalemate as defences came out on top in a 0-0 at St James Park.

Chances came and went at both ends – no better than a late header from Danny Coles in front of the Big Bank which was unfathomably saved – but neither team could burst the net.

For City, it was a much-needed clean-sheet but disappointingly it ended all-square with some inspirational goalkeeping from Ryan Clarke and some wayward shooting.

The big news for the Grecians ahead of...
