Come along and join in the fun at our first cinema event at the XCentre. We will be kicking-off a year –long programme of film screenings with a sing-a-long version of the family classic, The Sound of Music on Saturday 15 November.

So, if you and your family love nothing more than warbling along to a film musical or dressing up in a whimple, then this is the event for you.

Sun shines for exciting Newton Abbot fixture

Ainsi Fideles stamped himself as an up-and-coming chaser for the future when beating the older and more experienced Lamb Or Cod to land the £11,000 North Devon Hospice Novices’ Chase at Newton Abbot on Monday 8th September.

The four-year-old Ainsi Fideles had shown real promise for trainer David Pipe, winning his last three races and earning a handicap mark of 145, just above that of his rival. Family fun event at city housing development

Residents and local homebuyers in Exeter will be in for a treat this Saturday (30 August) as Redrow is hosting a family fun day at its stylish development in Pinhoe - The Harringtons. Creative youngsters began their two-week intensive Summer School at the Exeter Northcott Theatre last week. From 18 – 30 August participants, aged between 12 and 19, will be working with Polly Agg-Manning, Exeter Northcott Theatre’s Associate Director for ENGAGE, and a skilled team at the Exeter Northcott to develop a professional piece of theatre, Just So, which will culminate in a performance at the theatre on Saturday 30 August.

Enjoy an evening at the races

Join Newton Abbot Racecourse for an evening of racing on Thursday 21st August.

Racing will start at 5:25pm, with gates opening at 3:25pm. The last race will be at 8:00pm.

Tickets can be bought online until 5pm on Wednesday 20th August. Tickets are priced at £18 for the Paddock Enclosure and £12 for the Course Enclosure. There will also be tickets available to buy at the gate on the day.

The Family Enclosure will be open to entertain children, with a variety of giant garden games and inflatables for them to enjoy.
