At a dinner and dance which in masonic circles is known as a ladies night was held just before the coronavirus stopped us all meeting up in public, Per Mare Per Terram Lodge, the Royal Marine Lodge that meets in Exmouth raised £500 in aid of the Devonshire Blood Bikes, also called the Devon Freewheelers.

Saturday 4 July 2020 will be a BIG day in Exmouth for local charity Hospiscare.

This much-loved event returns to Exmouth in the summer with two brand new routes and a new venue.

This women’s walking event offers a scenic 6.5 mile walk or a more challenging 13.1 mile route, both of which take in stunning views along Exmouth seafront and the picturesque estuary. Participants will be entertained along the way and rewarded with a glass of pink fizz at the finish.

An Exmouth-based charity which supports veterans and the serving military is the latest recipient of a charity donation from Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes.

Rock2Recovery has received £1,000 from the Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes Community Fund – with the generous donation being used to provide help and support to veterans, serving personnel and their families when they are at their most vulnerable.

Exmouth’s Redgates play area has been given a new lease of life following £100,000 worth of improvements and children from the town are loving it!

East Devon District Councillors today (16 January 2020) celebrated the opening of the newly refurbished Redgates play area in Exmouth, which has been given a new lease of life following £100,000 worth of improvements.

East Devon District Council has funded the new equipment from its capital budget to replace the old play equipment which had been there for more than 30 years.

Police appeal after woman sexually assaulted on train in Exeter

British Transport Police have released a CCTV image following a report of a sexual assault on a train between Digby and Sowton and Exmouth railway station.

The incident happened between 5.45pm and 6.10pm on Friday 27 December.

A man is reported to have boarded a train at Digby and Sowton station before standing behind a woman and touching her inappropriately.

Officers would like to speak to the man in the image who may have information that could help their investigation.

Passenger numbers increase on enhanced bus service

The CONNexIONS service updated and replaced the service 56 in October 2018. Between then and October last year, the service has been used by over 220,000 passengers. That’s up from almost 165,000 on service 56 in the previous year – an increase of over 33%.

Yesterday evening (Thursday 14 November 2019), Wayne Hemingway presented his team’s vision for Queen’s Drive Exmouth.

Around 200 people attended the public exhibition at the Ocean Centre on Exmouth seafront to listen to Hemingway Design and to ask questions. The audience was made up of Exmouth people, businesses and community organisations all with an interest in the town’s future success.
