Plymouth Pavilions has announced that Bastille will return to play the venue in October.

“We’re so excited to have Bastille back, their 2014 gig was one of our absolute favourates,” said Bryony Carter, Marketing Executive at Plymouth Pavilions. “They’re incredible live performers and it’ll be a homecoming gig for Woody. It’ll be a sell out, so if you want to say you were there you’ll need to get on it when tickets go on sale next Friday.”

It is vital to protect Exeter's bustling and vibrant city centre, City Council bosses have said today in reaction to the Secretary of State's decision to turn down a large-scale retail development on the edge of the city.

A marine pollution expert from the University of Exeter has given a high level presentation at the United Nations headquarters, in New York.

Camera which captured Battle of the Somme on display

A camera which is thought to have shot the first war film will be on display at a special exhibition to mark the centenary of the Battle of the Somme.

Experts believe it is likely that the Moy-Bastie camera was used to shoot the famous film The Battle of the Somme, which was seen by an estimated 20 million people.

Firefighters become a pet’s best friend

Pets across Devon and Somerset have a better chance of surviving household fires – thanks to new oxygen masks for animals being carried on selected fire engines.

The funding for the sets of specially-designed masks has been provided by Pets at Home through its instore reward scheme.
