Stagecoach celebrates SW Falcon carrying over 500,000 passengers

The South West Falcon from Stagecoach today celebrated carrying over half a million passengers by surprising customers boarding the service at Plymouth Coach Station.

Passengers waiting for the 10:00 departure were met by the Stagecoach team who were handing out millionaire’s shortbread, free tickets and Falcon goodies. Mascot Pat the Falcon was also there to pose for photos.

Shaun Pike appointed as site manager for Barratt Homes’ new Exeter development

Shaun Pike has been appointed as site manager at Minerva - Barratt Homes’ new development in Exeter where work is underway to create a community of 159 new homes.

Shaun will be responsible for overseeing construction at the site, liaising with construction workers, subcontractors and suppliers. With more than 37 years’ experience in the housing industry, he previously worked on Barratt’s successful Riverside Park development in Fremington near Barnstaple- and will play a key role in mentoring local apprentices working on this latest new community.

Seventy-five female students from Exeter College were treated to a training session with the Bristol Ladies Rugby Team, as part of Tyrrells’ ongoing initiative to inspire more girls to get into rugby. Poppy Leitch, Caity Mattinson and Clara Nielson, who play for Bristol Ladies and England, hosted the workshop alongside Tyrrells, coaching and supporting students on Monday evening.
