Opa Restaurant in South Street is just an amazing venue.

Having lived in Naxos in the Cyclades in the past I wanted to have my 65th birthday party somewhere that reminded me of beautiful Greece.

Subjects across the Arts and Sciences at the University of Exeter have been recognised as being amongst the very best worldwide, in the latest influential global league table.

Eleven subjects are ranked in the world’s top 100 – with five in the top 50 and one rising into the top 10 - according to the latest QS World University Subject Rankings, published on Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Two Devon women attempting a world best have linked up with SeaSports Southwest in their quest to become the fastest female pair to row across the Atlantic Ocean.

University of Exeter Masters Medicine students Rosie Alterman and Charlie Fleurywill launch their attempt at the 2020 Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge starting in December, aiming to beat the current best of 50 days.

The adventurous pair who have also worked together in Royal Devon and Exeter’s Accident and Emergency department will be known as the Emergensea Girls for the 3000 mile test of endurance.

CDS Launches New Procurement Process

Connecting Devon and Somerset (CDS) has today launched a fresh procurement to find new contractors to roll-out superfast broadband across the two counties.

CDS is working closely with Building Digital UK (BDUK) agency on the new procurement process. It follows confirmation of the Government’s funding extension for the programme in Devon and Somerset – helping to provide a £38 million public investment in the region’s broadband, with funding also coming from the Heart of the South West LEP, CDS local authorities, European Regional Development Fund and the Rural Development Programme...

Exeter ladies Water Polo win National League promotion in first year

Exeter ladies waterpolo team have made an impressive debut to their first season of playing in the national league, culminating this weekend in a promotion to Division 2.
