IMP Software has been awarded Great Place To Work Certification, which recognises employers who create an outstanding employee experience.

As the global authority on workplace culture, Great Place to Work makes it easy for organisations to survey employees, uncover actionable insights, and be recognised for their company culture. Certification is a two-step process that includes surveying employees and completing a short questionnaire about the workplace.

Devon & Cornwall Police is reminding people to take care of themselves, their friends and family while celebrating the festive period in its latest drive to tackle violent crime.

Officers will be carrying out enhanced patrols and a range of initiatives in the main towns and cities across the two counties in a bid to help keep people safe.

In Exeter, there will be additional officers working late shifts on key dates during the Christmas period to carry out high-visibility patrols.

Exeter students support families seeking asylum this Christmas

Year 7 students from West Exe School, part of the Ted Wragg Trust, have recorded a Christmas jingle to be played on East Devon Radio this festive season.

The Lord Mayor of Exeter has officially opened a new rehoming, advice and behaviour unit from national pet charity Blue Cross in the city.

Dogs, cats and small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs will be cared for in foster homes whilst they are waiting to be matched to a new home by the team at the unit at Matford Park Road, Marsh Barton.

The team at the unit will offer rehoming, advice and behaviour services, as well as a pet food bank for owners struggling to cover the cost of feeding their pets.

Recycle your real Christmas tree to support your local hospice

Hospiscare have launched their annual Christmas Tree Recycling scheme to support end-of-life care across the heart of Devon.

On Thursday 11, Friday 12 and Saturday 13 January 2024, Hospiscare and a team of volunteers will be heading out in full force to collect and recycle Christmas trees in return for a donation to the local charity.

More than half of Exeter residents ignore hearing problems

PEOPLE across Exeter are being urged to look after their hearing and not ignore worrying symptoms.

This comes as a latest study shows that 33% of South West people have noticed negative changes to their hearing in the last decade – but more than half (51%) have taken no action to address those changes.

That means that thousands could be missing out on hearing our favourite sounds, TV shows and music properly – or even saying yes to things we didn’t mean to.
