The local community in St Thomas, Exeter, has come together and organised the second local community festival which is being held in the St Thomas Pleasure Grounds.

There will be lots to see and enjoy, with great local bands and musicians playing, a community tent with various family activities, workshops and demonstrations.

Around the park visitors will find numerous stalls run by local traders and crafters, face painting, fun activities for children and a Bouncy Castle.

Millers are very happy to explain the milling process to you and answer any questions.

Garden Open Days at Bickham House

The beautiful Bickham House gardens are open for the National Gardens Scheme from April until October.

Bickham Gardens recently featured in The Independent newspaper and its beautiful landscaped lawns and flower beds are well worth a visit.

Conservatory, small parterre, pond garden, walled kitchen garden, lake. Included in the admission price, the small garden at Bickham Cottage will also be open to the public.

War Memorial - the Story of a Devon Village's Sacrifice

As part of the WW1 Centenary programme, author and broadcaster Clive Aslet will give a talk based on his book, War Memorial, which tells the story of the effect of conflict on a small rural community and the thirteen Devon men who lost their lives in WW1.

The evening will begin with a book signing and reception and all proceeds will go to the National Charity of the British Army - ABF The Soldiers' Charity.

Tickets are £25 and include the drinks reception
