
Thugs stole man's trousers and shoes
Detectives are appealing for witnesses after two street robberies in Exeter at the weekend.
An 18-year-old local man was found with a head injury by street pastors in the Gandy Street area of the city in the early hours on Saturday 30 August. His trousers and shoes were missing, as well as his iPhone 4 and wallet.
Detectives believe he may have been robbed and are appealing for anyone who saw him to come forward (reference CR/102907/14).
A few hours later, a robbery occurred in Queen Street. Between 2am and 3am on Sunday 31 August the victim, a 23-year-old local man, became engaged in conversation with a group of unknown men near Central Station.
He was then attacked by members of this group, who punched and kicked him. They stole his skateboard and wallet before getting into a car and driving off (reference CR/102717/14).
DC Caroline Prince at Exeter CID, said: “We would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incidents or has any information that could assist, including the whereabouts of the stolen property.
“We are also warning people to be vigilant when out late at night and report any suspicious activity to police.”
