Free interactive children's pet workshops

Parents in Exeter are being given the opportunity to take their children to a series of fun, free pet workshops this summer, where they can interact with and learn more about a variety of scaled, finned and furry friends.

Both Pets at Home stores in Exeter are hosting a My Pet Pals Summer Activity Club, a series of free interactive pet workshops which will educate the next generation of pet owners on how to care for animals responsibly.

The workshops will cover the adventures of a gang of small furry animal characters and reptiles, who will illustrate how to look after pets...

Teignbridge supports Cycle to Work Day

Cycling is being celebrated in Teignbridge as people are encouraged to ditch the car and get on two wheels for Cycle to Work Day on Thursday 4 September.

Cycle to Work Day is a national event championed by multi gold winning Paralympic medallist Dame Sarah Storey and is aimed at getting people to cycle into work for just one day.

Shop staff and volunteers at the Exeter British Heart Foundation (BHF) Furniture & Electrical store are hosting a party on Wednesday 27th August from 11am to 3pm to thank locals for their support over the past year. Elf to create family room at RD&E

The Exeter Leukaemia Fund (ELF) has invested £30,000 to help realise the idea of building a family room for Haematology patients at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital.

The local charity has invested the funds to develop and plan out the reworking of space in the Haematology Centre to accommodate an area where critically ill patients can enjoy time and privacy with their families. Bridge Jazz Club
