Many of the headliners from the main event are likely to make an appearance too so you never know who you might bump into at the bar!

Guitarist with Jethro Tull for a staggering 43 years, Martin’s solo on ‘Aqualung’ was voted the 25th finest solo ever in a U.S. guitar poll, just one small accolade for a guitarist who’s worked live with Phil Collins, Gary Moore, Joe Bonamassa, Paul McCartney, and in the past has shared stages with Hendrix, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin. His current band has been together for four years and will be playing many of those classic songs from the ‘Tull’ back catalogue.

Willard Grant Conspiracy

Sitting somewhere between country and alternative, the collective known as Willard Grant Conspiracy have been hailed as the new heroes of their genre. Based near Palmdale, California, the band’s only permanent member, the heavily bearded vocalist Robert Fisher, has a style that has been compared to both John Cale and Johnny Cash. As a band, it’s easy to draw comparisons with the likes Nick Cave and Tindersticks.

With a collective of some 30+ musicians, Willard Grant Conspiracy are a force to be reckoned with – both physically and musically.

Sarah L Dixon runs regular Quiet Compere events in Manchester. She hosted a Medical-themed poetry event at Cheltenham Poetry Festival in 2014. Sarah is presently touring the usual Quiet Compere format (ten poets x ten minutes each) nationally, after a successful tour of the North in 2014.
