Police concerned for missing Sidney Ellis

SUNDAY: Sidney Ellis has been found, safe and well. Police thank everyone for their help.

Police are concerned for the welfare of 73-year-old Sidney Ellis, who is missing from the Kingsbridge area of Devon.

It is believed that Mr Ellis may be in the North Devon area having driven to the location in his Silver coloured Peugeot 207 5 door hatchback registration number KR11KNL.

It is possible that he is no longer with his vehicle.

Community learning helps adults with mental health issues

Adults across Devon suffering from mental health issues are being helped in their recovery thanks to a free community learning project.

Since adult learning provider Learn Devon launched the project in April last year 180 adults have been given a helping hand.

The project provides a range of free, creative, motivational and outdoors courses to help sufferers to develop strategies to help them recover.

It aims to help people who have mild to moderate mental health issues including anxiety, depression and sleep disorders.

Three jailed for drugs offences

Three men have been jailed at Exeter Crown Court today (22nd January) for a total of seven years for the production and supply of cannabis in Devon and Somerset.

Altin Laska, 27, from Exmouth, Mircea Rusu, 24, from Exeter, and Nicolae Pasc, 25, from Exeter, pleaded guilty to committing drugs offences between 1 January 2015 and 20 August 2015 following an operation run by Zephyr.

Pictured left to right, Laska was sentenced to five years in prison, with Rusu and Pasc both receiving twelve month sentences.

A teenager from the Exeter Chiefs HITZ programme has been shortlisted for a prestigious national award.

Exeter Cathedral’s new Director of Music is looking forward to leading his choristers in concert for the first time since taking up the baton.

Exeter Food Bank at St James' Park

Exeter City FC is proud to support the Exeter Food Bank and has a permanent collection point in Reception, which is emptied regularly.

Just after Christmas we delivered three very large, and heavy bags, to Exeter Food Bank's storage site... Thank you to everyone who contributes to this charity.

We will be collecting food donations on the Trust Stall this Saturday before our match against Accrington.

Items always needed are tins of soup, meat, fish, vegetables and fruit. Also pasta, rice, noodles, biscuits, as well as toiletries...toothpaste, soap, loo rolls, etc....
