After years of drifting aimlessly and alone, Richard Herring is now settled down with a wife and a tiny baby. Is he finally happy now? Or does responsibility for the lives of others come with its own terrors?

In his twelfth solo stand up show, Richard examines whether we are can ever hope to be or are meant to be truly content. If we were never unhappy would happiness have any meaning? Why do our brains force us to envision the worst possible outcomes even on a day when everything seems fine.

Pets living in Honiton now have a better chance of surviving household fires – thanks to new oxygen masks for animals being carried on the town’s fire engines.

The funding for the set of specially-designed masks to Honiton has been provided by Honiton's Fortescue Lodge.

Honiton's Fortescue Lodge donated the money for a set of masks to Smokey Paws, the not-for-profit organisation trying to help family pets in the event of a fire. Honiton is the first fire station in Devon to receive the life-saving devices.

Over 100 cannabis plants seized at Devon farm

A Misuse of Drugs Act warrant was executed at a farm in the Chulmleigh area on Friday morning (26 February), leading to the seizure of a large amount of cannabis plants.

The warrant stemmed from community intelligence, and officers from Cullompton, Tiverton and Crediton neighbourhood teams along with the Force Support Group and CID

Liberty rider helps raise funds for horse charity

As part of Mole Valley Farmer’s Pet and Equine weekend, animal behaviourist and adventurer Emma Massingale hosted five evening events to talk about her month on a remote Irish island, living off the countryside, as she attempted to start (break in) two unhandled Connemara ponies at liberty.
