McDonald's restaurants join forces to tidy up Exeter Quayside

A group of 14 crew members from two McDonald’s restaurant in Exeter recently teamed up with the Exeter Quay Master to clean up the area around the Quayside. An impressive 20 bags of litter were collected as part of Keep Britain Tidy’s Love Where You Live campaign.

The volunteers, from the Exeter High Street and the Exeter Marsh Barton McDonald’s restaurants, were split into smaller groups and maintained a 2m distance at all times to ensure social distancing rules were followed. Spacex is pleased to present Makers of the Multiverse, a sculptural pavilion by Juneau Projects (Philip Duckworth and Ben Sadler), located for four weeks at Exeter Quay.

Charity fundraiser promises to be lively event

Exeter solicitors Cartridges Law will be raising a glass to help raise much-needed funds for the charity Headway Devon.

The charity, which supports people affected by brain injury, is holding a wine-tasting quiz evening, thanks to sponsorship from Cartridges Law.

The event will be held at Headway’s Exeter Quayside headquarters, The X Centre, at 6.30pm on Friday April 28.

Exeter’s historic waterside wine cellars to become new micro brewery

St Austell Brewery, one of the South West’s leading breweries, is planning to invest £1.5million in transforming a derelict 19th century warehouse on Exeter’s vibrant quayside into a brand new pub-restaurant and micro-brewery.

The building, in Commercial Road on The Quay, has been bought leasehold from Exeter City Council by Cornwall’s premier independent brewery, and will be dramatically renovated to create a new venue for the city.

Atass crowned Exeter Business Games 2013 Champions

The Atass Group were crowned 2013 champions of the Exeter Business Games at the final event of the competition at Exeter Quayside on Friday 21 June.

Having won five events out of seven and with a 20 point lead over defending champions South West Water; Atass were in a very strong position going into the final.

Although Tozers Solicitors were the winners of the River Activities on Friday, Atass’s significant lead ensured their overall victory.
