Rock legend Ian McLagan brings his new tour to Exeter

British rock legend Ian McLagan will release United States, his first new studio album in five years, via Yep Roc Records on 7 July and will be touring throughout the UK during July.

His UK tour will see him perform at Exeter Phoenix on Tuesday 8 July.

An exciting new art exhibition, featuring work by artists Rachel Busby and David Webb, is to begin at the Exeter Phoenix this July.

From 18 July -30 August visitors will get to see work grounded in memory, nostalgia and a sense of place.

There will also be a preview of the exhibition on Thursday 17th July at 6pm.

Ian, who has worked alongside musical legend Rod Stewart, is touring to promote his new album ' United States'. The album is his first studio album in five years and will be released the day before his Exeter peformance.

An exciting exhibition, which will showcase contemporary artists’ interpretations of the classic Tarot de Marseille deck of cards, is due to begin on Friday (24th January).

Tarot playing cards first came onto the scene in the 15th century, with different cards being interpreted as offering a different fortune or meaning.

Local singer songwriter Charlotte Ward, who supported X Factor finalist Luke Friend and The Voice quarter finalist Adam Issac last Friday night at the Exeter Phoenix, gets her own shot at making talent show history tomorrow.

Charlotte is travelling to Birmingham National Exhibition Centre to compete in the national finals of the prestigious talent show Open Mic UK.

Described at “one of the toughest competitions in the country” it has been previously been the launch pad for artists such as Birdy, Lucy Spraggan and Hattie Keane.

Mock The Week star is coming to Exeter

She has starred in Mock the Week and Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow and now comedy star Ava Vidal is heading to The Exeter Phoenix as part of her He’s Not a Keeper show.

The show, taking place on 15th December, aims to expose all those tell tell signs that mean He’s Not a Keeper.

He’s Not a Keeper is based on Ava’s own experiences and those shared with her by women and men across The UK.
