Tony Rowe honoured by South West business community

Exeter Rugby Club chairman and chief executive, Tony Rowe OBE, was honoured at the annual Western Morning Business Awards held at Sandy Park.

Mr Rowe, who is also the chairman and chief executive of Exeter-based South West Communications, was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award at the glittering event, which was attended by over 300 people from across the region.

Hundreds of businessmen and women came together to celebrate the best companies, employers and apprentices the Westcountry has to offer.

Armistice Day service at Sandy Park

Exeter Chiefs players past and present, together with leading club officials, members of the Armed Forces and supporters formed the congregation for a special 'Armistice Day' service held at Sandy Park. Conducted by club chaplain Simon Atkinson, the 45-minute Service of Remembrance paid tribute to those former club players - and other servicemen and women around the world - who had paid the ultimate sacrifice in conflicts around the world. For years, Exeter Rugby Club have proudly displayed within the County Suite a memorial plaque of the names of those former players who paid the ultimate...

Donate a ticket for the Foundation

Supporters of the Exeter Chiefs can do their bit to boost the funds of the Exeter Foundation with a new initiative launched by the club.

We know there are occasions where season ticket holders, Gold Card and 1905 members are unable to attend a match-day game at Sandy Park.

That means places are occasionally empty within the stands, so the Exeter Foundation – the club’s official charity – are appealing for you to donate a ticket to the Foundation.

All money raised from the re-sale of these tickets will be donated back into the Foundation and later distributed amongst...

It’s four years since Exeter Chiefs last got the better of Leicester Tigers, but the strides that have been made in that time were there for all to see at Sandy Park. Rob Baxter’s ‘Class of 2015’ underlined their ever-growing promise with a workmanlike display from start to finish.

Skipper Gareth Steenson landed the killer blows for the home side, converting his own first half try to go alongside four successful penalties.

Chiefs side to face Leicester Tigers

Rob Baxter believes today's visit of Leicester Tigers will provide the ‘acid test’ for his Exeter Chiefs side so far this season.

In what has been an encouraging start to the new Aviva Premiership season for Devon’s finest, this Round Four match-up promises to be their toughest assignment so far.

England’s most decorated club will arrive in the Westcountry not only boasting a Premiership record of eight wins in ten starts against the Chiefs, but they are also one of only two clubs, the other is Saracens, who have yet to taste defeat this term.

Butcher’s bangers boost funds for charity

British Sausage Week is now well underway, inviting the nation to celebrate one of our favourite comfort foods.

Exeter-based Andrew James butchery has got stuck in to Sausage Week, turning bangers to bucks for charity with the Exeter Chiefs.

When the Exeter Chiefs take on the Leicester Tigers on 7 November at Sandy Park, 50p from every sausage eaten during the match will be donated to the Exeter Foundation.

Fans will be able to warm up with on of Andrew James’s premium sausages whilst enjoying the feel-good factor of supporting a local charity.

Comedy at the Park

The first Comedy at the Park of 2016 is on Friday, January 29th.

MC for the evening will be Windsor, who's described as a first class compere and stand-up who's combined years of street-performance skills with a natural charm and warmth.

The opening act of the night will be Jason Patterson, who promises to bring the house down with his relaxed style of comedy.

Next up is Pierre Hollins, who's been an audience favourite on the comedy circuit for many years - headlining clubs through the UK, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Armand hails all-round effort at Chiefs

Don Armand believes Exeter Chiefs underlined what they are capable of this season with Sunday's impressive victory over Newcastle Falcons in the Aviva Premiership.

Rob Baxter's side followed up their impressive home win over London Irish with an equally destructive display in the North East, sinking the Falcons with a six-try blast in their 41-3 success.

On Halloween weekend, Exeter Chiefs ensured there was no repeat of last season’s Kingston Park ‘Horror Show’ as they powered to man emphatic victory in the Aviva Premiership.

Undone 29-24 at the North East venue last term, Rob Baxter’s side moved back amongst the division’s frontrunners with a frightening six-try display against winless Newcastle Falcons ending 3-41.
