Exeter City Football Club in conjunction with the night’s main sponsor Paramount Personnel entertained key clients with a private showing of the new James Bond film Skyfall at the View cinema Exeter.

As one sponsor said it was the “Invite of the year” Black Tie was the order of the day with St Austell Brewery supplying Bollinger to wet their appetites and Brakes Food Services supplying Canapés. Exeter Contemporary Open 2012 Winner Announced

At an exclusive awards ceremony and exhibition opening at Exeter Phoenix last night, Olivier Larivière was announced as the recipient of the main £1000 award for the Exeter Contemporary Open 2012. The judges – artist S Mark Gubb, independent curator Paula Orrell and Phoenix gallery curator Matt Burrows faced a tough decision to select three award winners from the nine exhibiting artists. Olivier's paintings however, a series of images depicting people handling wild animals, were seen to stand out as particularly strong.
