Spring is just around the corner and there’s plenty of fun and adventure to keep the whole family entertained at The Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth this Easter.
Open from 9am to dusk every day, an array of family-friendly activities will be on offer, including donkey grooming and craft activities.

Exeter’s top skittles teams are busily preparing for this year’s Gasket Guy British Skittles Championships after notching up the city’s best ever showing at the competition last year.
Two Tribes mixed team (pictured above) have won the British title two years running and will be going for a hat trick, never before achieved in the mixed competition’s history. Team captain Barry Powell said the team was preparing hard for the initial rounds.
‘We are adding a few promising newcomers to the existing squad,’ he said, ‘and arranging some extra matches to get into form.’

No Smoking Day 2016 takes place today (Wednesday 9 March) – and people in Exeter are being urged to take their first step towards giving up the habit for good by contacting the Devon Stop Smoking Service for support.
The annual No Smoking Day campaign is now in its 33rd year and the theme this time is ‘Proud to be a Quitter’.
While studies show that two thirds of smokers want to quit, nearly one in five adults in the UK continue to smoke.
The figure is higher in Exeter, where 23% of adults smoke.

Throughout March and April, Devon Chamber of Commerce will be hosting a number ‘Your Future’ Careers Fairs in conjunction with schools, colleges and local partners in the county, aimed at supporting the successful transition of young people from education to the world of work. The events, aimed at 14-24 year olds, form part of a programme of 250 England-wide career events being delivered by Accredited Chambers of Commerce and supported by the Skills Funding Agency.
